1. Scope
2. Core privacy principles
- Ownbit is designed for self-custody rather than custodial control.
- We do not ask users to create an account in order to use a standard wallet in the app.
- We aim to keep seed phrases, private keys, passwords, and other wallet secrets on the user’s device instead of storing them on our servers in plain text.
- We try to collect the minimum information reasonably needed to operate the product, maintain security, and provide support.
- We do not sell personal information and we do not build advertising profiles around wallet users.
3. Information we may collect
- Information you provide directly. If you contact us for support, provide feedback, request help, or communicate with us by email or Telegram, we may receive your email address, account handle, message content, and any information you choose to share.
- Technical and diagnostic data. We may receive app version, operating system version, device type, language preference, crash diagnostics, or similar compatibility information needed to troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, or support the app.
- Notification data. If you enable push notifications, platform providers may assign a device token so notices can be delivered to your device.
4. Wallet and blockchain data
Depending on the feature being used, Ownbit may communicate with blockchain nodes, indexers, push services, or Ownbit-operated infrastructure in order to show balances, transaction history, asset metadata, notifications, or transaction status.
In that process, systems involved in the request may necessarily process limited wallet-related technical data, such as public addresses, extended public keys, public keys, wallet IDs, network identifiers, contract addresses, transaction hashes, device-generated installation identifiers, or address indexes used for synchronization and anti-abuse purposes.
Public blockchain data is inherently public and may remain visible permanently on-chain. You should never share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone, including Ownbit support.
5. How we use information

- provide wallet-related features such as synchronization, network connectivity, transaction broadcasting, status updates, or notifications;
- respond to support requests, bug reports, and business communications;
- monitor reliability, diagnose crashes, and protect against abuse, fraud, or misuse;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use;
- protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Ownbit, and third parties.
6. How we share information
- to service providers who help us host the website, process diagnostics, deliver notifications, or provide infrastructure and support services;
- to blockchain infrastructure providers, node operators, and related technical providers when requests are made through the app;
- if required by law, regulation, court order, or valid governmental request;
- to protect rights, safety, security, or investigate fraud, abuse, or technical issues;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.
